Hi, I'm Ryan Burns—an innovative cybersecurity specialist, software developer, and lifelong tech enthusiast based in Sligo, Ireland. With a degree in Software Development and a recently completed Cybersecurity course from A.T.U Galway, I’m always on the cutting edge of emerging tech trends. I’m currently pursuing my CompTIA Security+ certification to further sharpen my expertise and solidify my standing as a security professional.
Technology has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From dismantling and rebuilding computers as a kid to exploring the depths of network security and coding solutions for real-world challenges, my journey has been driven by curiosity and a relentless desire to learn. I’m fascinated by how everything—from software to networks to hardware—fits together to create the powerful systems we use every day.
In addition to my hands-on technical work, I’ve started a tech blog to document my journey and share my knowledge. The blog covers a wide range of topics, including cybersecurity trends, software development tutorials, and my personal take on the latest in gaming and tech hardware. It’s also where I’ll be sharing my experiences preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification—so if you're interested in that, make sure to check it out!
This website is just for the craic really. I built it from scratch using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and am hosting it on GitHub Pages. It’s an ongoing project that’s constantly evolving, reflecting my growth as a developer and my dedication to learning. My goal? To continue pushing the boundaries of what I can do, perfecting my skills, and creating innovative solutions—one line of code at a time.

Shodan works by unleashing web crawling "spiders" that trawl the internet, and grab service banners which show which ports are open on a device. The "spiders" crawl through then entire IP space perhaps once a month. If your device has a vulnerability Shodan should eventually find it and list it.
Hi everybody, I’m back to let you all know about a cool new feature added to the video game Space Engineers recently. For those of you who don’t know, Space Engineers is a voxel-based sandbox game set in an asteroid field in space. It is currently available as an early access game.
With much thanks to The Internet Archive you can now play over 2,300 classic titles, right in your browser. If you want to have the collection yourself then all of the games can be downloaded from the website in one package, be warned though it is a 90 GB file !
